Medical and Research Grants
Melinta is committed to supporting innovative research initiatives and education programs that advance medical care, and foster an increased understanding of scientific, clinical, and healthcare issues to improve patient outcomes
Melinta considers Grant requests based on the merits of the request and how the requests align to our researchand educational areas of interest
ISR refers to research sponsored and conducted by qualified investigators. Melinta will consider two different medical research grant types: Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and External Collaborative Research Studies (ECRS). All ISR grant proposals should align with one of our research areas of interest.
These are clinical trials, registries or other real world evidence studies, health outcomes research studies, or pre-clinical research studies usually involving the Company’s drug(s) where a third party investigator independently proposes the study, serves as the sponsor-investigator, and assumes all responsibility for the conduct of the study. The Company may provide drug, drug powder, and/or financial support. These studies can involve investigational or marketed products.
These are clinical trials, registries or other real world evidence studies, health outcomes research studies, or pre-clinical research studies usually involving the Company’s drug(s) where a third party investigator may independently propose the study or the Company solicits a research proposal from appropriate qualified investigators. The investigator serves as the sponsor investigator and assumes all responsibility for the conduct of the study. Medical personnel at the Company will scientifically collaborate with the investigator including providing input into the study design, analysis of data and results, and authoring the study report or related publications. The Company may provide drug, drug powder, and/or financial support. These studies can involve investigational or marketed products.

Melinta accepts scientific publication grant requests to support developing a scientific publication. Requested support may include publication submission, medical writing, and statistical and data analysis.

Melinta provides grants in support of independent medical educational programs such as conferences, seminars, or symposia conducted live or virtually that serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and/or professional performance of HCPs. The content of the program should be based on scientific evidence and recognized clinical practice standards and/or guidelines.
At this time, we are not accepting any applications for Independent Medical Education.

When applying for a grant, grant requesters should address the following:
Underlying purpose of the Grant request and whether the request is for a bona fide educational, research, or scientific publication that is aligned with Melinta areas of educational and research interests
The potential impact on patient care, education and/or public health
Whether the amount requested is reasonable and justified and will be used appropriately
Whether the requesting entity or individual possesses the appropriate expertise and/or experience to carry out the activity
Timelines and phases of activity, including deliverables
Melinta will not provide Grant funding to an organization in a manner that undermines the independence or mission of the organization. All requests shall be reviewed by Melinta Therapeutics for consideration. Melinta Therapeutics does not guarantee the availability of funds or approval of any grant request.
